About this area
An 11,557-acre BLM recreation area — about 18 square miles — with over 55 miles of marked multiple-use trail, an hour north of Phoenix off I-17. The Little Pan Staging Area is the main way in and includes two OHV training areas, which makes this a genuinely good place to put a new rider.

Take Exit 236 (Table Mesa Road) off I-17. Turn west over the freeway, then right (north) onto the frontage road / Table Mesa Road. Drive about 2.5 miles north, take the left fork then the right fork to the staging area. Two accessible vault toilets and two OHV training areas here.
