The closest riding to the Las Vegas Strip — under 30 minutes from it. Open dunes and washes just past Nellis Air Force Base and the Speedway, free to ride, and consequently one of the busiest OHV areas in Nevada.

Specific to Nellis Dunes OHV Area

  • This sits beside an active Air Force base. Respect every boundary and closure sign, the restricted ground next door is not somewhere to stray.
  • It is busy. Being the closest riding to Las Vegas means crowds, mixed abilities and rental traffic, ride like someone is coming over every blind crest.
  • OHVs from 1976 onward must be registered. Non-residents may ride on a valid out-of-state registration, but check current rules before you travel.
